Our Achievements

The Bootleg Doors is a Doors tribute band formed in 1996 in Amsterdam. The band took its name from the original Doors.The band has toured the world extensively appearing on all the five continents. Their show is incredibly authentic. Causing a lot of the audience to suspend their disbelief' (Robby Krieger). The Bootleg Doors are the world’s best Doors Tribute band according to the greatest doors fan club “Doors Quarterly” “I liked very much their show in Germany. Finally a band who understands that it’s all about the music of The Doors” Frank Lisciandro quoted. Gilles Yepremian, an old Paris friend of Jim Morrison invited The Bootleg Doors to play at The Doors Memorial Concert at the Elyssee Montmartre, Paris. This was filmed and broadcasted by MTV Europe, BBC and Canal Plus

How we got formed

The Bootleg Doors is a Doors tribute band that was formed in 1996 in Amsterdam. The Bootleg Doors give a typical live performance of the original Doors concert. This live performance lasts for approx. two hours. Traditional songs that will be played are: Light my Fire, Riders on the storm, Love her madly, When the music’s over, L.A. Woman, Roadhouse Blues, Gloria, The End and many others. eyes, you’ll hear The Doors”. During the concert, with the lightshow, smoking machines and the candles on stage, you probably think that The Doors are back again. A realistic look-a-like tribute to The Doors. The Bootleg Doors already played in major concert halls in Europe, Australia, USA and the Middle East.

The Bootleg Doors will stop touring. After 25 years of great shows and festivals. We'll thank you all for your support. We had a great time, thanks to you all. Keep the legend alive.

Spinning every single record from top to bottom and back it is fair to say that The Doors, and Jim Morrison in particular, were a huge influence in becoming a musician. Several bands and many years later he finally got the chance to live his dream. Singing those brilliant songs on stage in front of an audience…

The style of John and every attack at the right time at the right lyrics of Jim. Boris played in several bands playing all kinds of music. Playing The Doors made him a real Doorsfan. Boris plays on Ludwig and Zildjian cymbals

Eelco plays on a Gibson SG and Fender Twin Reverb amp. His sound is an exact copy of Robbie's. He loves to play The Doors as a great Doors fan.
